A dog stroller is one of my best purchases for my senior dogs and here is why!
When your senior dog cannot keep up with other dogs (like they used to) or they simply cannot walk at all, then it’s a perfect time to get a Doggyride Stroller.
This was one purchase I hesitated on because of the cost and not knowing if I really needed a dog stroller. I am so glad that I made the decision to buy this particular dog stroller. In my opinion, this Doggyride Stroller is the best on the market.
My Skylar (an Aussie mix) was 17 years old and slowed down faster than my 16-year-old Coco (a chocolate lab). So, to continue to enjoy the great outdoors, I purchased this “dog stroller” so we could all go out and Coco would get her normal walk without having to slow her pace down. Skylar was able to enjoy the sun and fresh air without having to stay home. A win-win situation.
As I truly believe, this Doggyride Stroller is the best one on the market. Here are two very important features this Doggyride Stroller has:
The wheels are rubber and the front wheel swivels. I found out later that many dog strollers out there do not have a front wheel that swivels and the wheels are not rubber. This makes all the difference! The maneuverability and shock absorption are because of the wheel’s make and structure. Plus, being able to air your tires (like a bicycle tire) is key.
The Doggyride Stroller was easy to assemble. I was able to do it myself. It also has easy-release wheels and a comfortable curved, padded handle. This makes it extremely car and user-friendly. Folded flat: 31.5″ L x 21″ W x 4″ H
The material is a lite-sturdy, water-resistant canvas and has a mesh screen layer as well if you so desire to use it. It also has a third layer of a transparent window cover if it were to rain or snow. All with an easy and durable zipper.
You can also hitch it onto your bicycle. I did not use this bicycle hitch feature but loved that this was also an option.
Another plus is that it could hold both my dogs if necessary. My two dogs together weighed about 150lbs. The chart said the Doggyride Stroller would hold 120lbs., but I had no problem with both Coco and Skylar snuggling in when we got caught in a short rainstorm while hiking in Marymoor Park in Washington. You know how wet dogs can weigh!!! HaHa
My sister encouraged me to buy this Doggyride Stroller and I am so happy I did. I was hesitant because I thought it was a more expensive purchase and I just didn’t know how it would work for me to have two dogs going at different paces.
However, this dog stroller was one of my best investments for Coco and Skylar. After our use, I was able to resell it. We went everywhere in this Doggyride Stroller every day and it looked and worked as good as new since the day it was received!
You will also want to purchase a DoggyRide Original Mat that goes inside the Doggyride Stroller for an added cushion. See also the photo below:
