Magnetic dog beds are amazing for all-aged pets, especially senior dogs.
I had wonderful results with a magnetic bed that was big enough for both my dogs, Coco and Skylar.
When looking for a dog bed, the size of your dog and the size of the bed’s magnetic field are of vital importance. There are many companies out there that do not provide you with specific measurements and this will make an important therapeutic difference that you need to be aware of when inquiring.
ProMagnet Magnetic Therapy Pet Pad utilizes powerful ceramic ferrite magnets, a manufacturer’s gauss rating of 3650 – 3950 per magnet, Bio-North (negative facing the body).
Your magnetic dog bed should have a Br rating — the internal magnetic field — of 3,950 gauss and a surface rating of 800 to 900 gauss. The gauss number measures the intensity of the magnetic field.
The ProMagnet Magnetic Therapy Pet Pad has “strategically placed magnets coupled with magnet size allowing for optimum performance of magnetic lines of flux to penetrate up into the tissue. Magnetic Therapy is suggested to help improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and can help to soothe discomfort.” (manufacturer’s product description)
Please note: Due to the nature of the ProMagnet Magnetic Therapy Pet Pad, this company DOES NOT accept returns. I was happy with mine and had no issues. Coco and Skylar slept together on ours.
When researching for your magnetic pet pad, check the depth location of the magnets. The magnetic field rises upward on the bed and the amount of material between the magnets and your dog will reduce the field. You want the strongest magnetic field for optimum results.
The magnetic strength worked well even when I added our favorite purple blanket on top. In this featured photo, we were on an adventure in our RV down the Oregon Coast! We had a blast and were very healthy, and comfy, and Coco and Skylar revitalized from a good night’s rest on their magnetic pad!
My Coco and Skylar loved their ProMagnet Magnetic Dog Pad (they shared an extra-large size) and when we were done with this bed because the cover was washable, we were able to help another dog who was in need of a magnet bed.
