The Freedom ~ Choice is Yours

The Freedom – Choice is Yours

Choose Your Own Path ~ Anonymous

This is about freedom of choice which is always up to you. Don’t be hard on yourself. And, always be your best fan. Especially, if you are feeling down.

I know that sometimes we make choices and immediately regret our decisions. This happened to me when I didn’t know (at the moment) what was best for Coco. She just had so much more life in her and the vet was saying she was ready to go … now. I relived that moment for a very long time.

When I’m talking about choice, the ability to purposely “choose” your thoughts is of utmost importance. Feelings of anguish can take a person down a rabbit hole for the rest of their life. You must address your thoughts, and continue your life knowing you did the best you could do at that time. Then MOVE ON.

You must believe in yourself and your choices. What many animal lovers do, is look back and feel guilty about their choices and they never fully recover. Again, no matter how difficult it is to continue forward, to actually go forward is up to you and you only. I understand so well. You can get through this!

I took this photo of my Skylar along the beach in Malibu, California. Here she is going in one direction and the Great Blue Heron’s facing an opposite viewpoint. Neither outlook is wrong, nor is it right. It just is.

This is the same in life as you choose a path. It may be the best choice for you at the time or there might have been a better one. Either way, the key is that if you learn that there is a better route, then take it. Or if it seems too late, then simply go a different path.

It does not matter what your choices are as long as you don’t keep living past actions that no longer serve you. You have the freedom at any given moment, to change your mind. Don’t let anyone keep you where you no longer wish to be either. It is YOUR choice. Not theirs.

Everyone learns by experience. If you keep making the same mistakes, learn from them. Listen to your inner guidance first. Only you know how honest you’re being with yourself. And, only you can hurt you.

Skylar always went the opposite direction than my chocolate lab, Coco. You could say, Skylar was more stubborn. I love the contrast between the two! Still, they both had fun wherever we went and we were all happy because of the freedom to do and be.

I hope that you are choosing your journey in life because you are following your inner guidance. If you’re not, it’s never too late. “If you’re not excited about it, it’s not the right path.” Abraham Hicks

I have no regrets about my decisions and look forward to my next fork in the road. I’d like to see you all following your heart (with a beloved animal by your side both physically and Soulfully).

And, if your pet has passed, know that energy just transforms, it never, ever dies. Your pet surrounds you more than ever! Look for signs and the guided message!

Sometimes we get stuck and immobilized. When I was in my twenties, I found it hard to get out of bed. In fact, for a whole month. It was in April, I was living in New York City. I struggled with this a lot when I was younger. I do not battle with this at all today. I make my choices with clarity today.

A fantastic book to help get you out of any immobilizing condition is, The 5 Second Rule: Transform your Life, Work, and Confidence with Everyday Courage by Mel Robbins.
