You Do Really Know the Way
Follow your dreams. They know the way. ~ Kobi Yamada
This photo is what we did best, hanging out with each other. Skylar even decided to lie down in the cool sand here!!! It didn’t matter where or what we were doing (ever) as long as we were together. I had almost 20 years (which seemed like minutes) with these two.
Alice: How long is forever?
White Rabbit: Sometimes, just one second.
There were times when I thought my dreams were too vast or times when I wanted to quit. But, Coco and Skylar helped me believe in myself. Their energy unequivocally guided me to follow my heart and I did. They lived in the moment and helped me be in the moment as well.
I’d like to think that they saved me. And, in fact, they did in my opinion. No one came close to knowing me as they did and the lessons and experiences I learned because of them, I will carry forward. I must carry forward.
These words come from an absolute animal lover and advocate. I don’t mind if it sounds over the top because, for me, it’s just not.
It is important to continue the unconditional love that you’ve learned or are learning with your pets. They have feelings (energy) and they are here for you as your guides. Don’t take them for granted. Especially, as they grow old.
I don’t know why, but their life spans are not as long as ours and so for most of us, we journey through these stages of life with them. It is a most difficult time, yet part of life. Instead of fighting this, you lean into the fact that you will most probably outlive your pets. And, it’s ok. Difficult, but you are going to be alright.
Everything is energy. We are energy. Our energy existed before we got here and will continue after we are done here. It’s the same with our pets. They too are energy. Energy never dies, it transforms. Your pets are with you even more once they are done with their bodies. I love the quote from Albert Einstein
Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another.
~ Albert Einstein
So, look for signs from your pets if they’ve transformed. Hear them whisper directions to you. Watch for any types of energy forms for guidance. Be open to this communication. You have everything to gain!
There is time to grieve (I do) but take these moments of reflection and apply all the lessons you’ve learned through the times you shared with your pets and continue your journey.
Different colors and sizes of butterflies come my way. Coco and Skylar’s scent wafts in the wind at times. They come to me in dreams. Everyone will experience their relationships in special and unique ways. It’s pretty awesome when you are open to receiving. So, do it.
Thank yourself if you love or loved a pet. Be grateful every day and continue to give back the many gifts that were gracefully bestowed upon you from your animal guides then and now. You know the way, follow your dreams.
Wayne Dyer’s book, Wishes Fulfilled: Mastering the Art of Manifesting is another excellent book and audio on manifesting your dreams.
